ALPHABETICAL LIST OF MAKERS  BY  LAST  NAME
Below each, in Italic type, is the  WHT  ABBREVIATION .

[ ] = No. of a mould containing information or other sources, mostly Mr Stalling's papers.  I have used abbreviations, sometimes  one for more than one word , to save space on my one- page record for each mold - eg "st" for "stamped" or  "street" depending on the context. Many abbreviations are listed. But my computer over several generations has swallowed several hundred photos, changed type and spacing so much that the list must be edited for legibility as this list has been and that must wait for another time. Mr. Stalling's papers are not available for general access yet either.

Cards E916-931 {WSS 6pp212,213}:1.Original set was from 5 master moulds(Ace, 3 court cards,+   Base) plus 2 symbol plugs for each suite which were inserted into masters of tops and held in place with a screw. Metal Bro, old type posts, cusps + sockets, finger + hinge lugs.
2.Later, a supplementary series of Aces, Larger Spots, produced. Holes drilled into male half of original ace master to mount large bronze suite symbols with two screws (on side original half for small symbols) as needed. New halves of bronze (round posts) made to accommodate.
3.Later, a new male half for (2) made, this on an iron plate to which the large suite symbols were pinned and screwed as needed. Holes were drilled into top of halves of (2) to pins of the iron plate. Thus the top halves fit both (1) + (2) male halves. A new master for lower half of moulds completes the set. It has a bronze element and iron male element. [NB This new master for lower half of moulds may have been made at same time as (4)4.One of the large aces (heart) later replaced, and this usable only with the iron plate of (3).
Marks : Only on the masters for the bases: That for the original set (1) has “E + Co/NY/918,” with the 918 almost totally erased in the master mould. That for the late series of all (3) has “E+CO/NY [ large and late]. [Photos WSS 29-5, 6, 7,8,9 10, 11,12, 13]
For examples of cast moulds see over. For Aces, three series: 1. Small symbols. 2. Large symbols in same male element; new elements. 3 Same large symbols on new iron male plate. Same elements as before. 4. Replacement for heart symbol of (3).
